we need to get some brid! (bread)

Well would you believe it, at the moment I'm writing in the picturesque town of Pahia in the Bay of Islands on the North Island of New Zealand! It's the sort of place where pine forests and lush rainforests meets the coast. After we arrived on tuesday we spent a few days in Auckland, and now we're just kicking back and relaxing before we move across the bay to Russell in a couple of days. Mum and I were adventurous this arvo and took 'the fastest' speed boat trip around the bay, through the 'Hole in a Rock' (imaginative name - it's uh... a hole... in a rock - looks pretty awesome!) and around all these different islands. Lots of fun! It was really cute, there was this little jack russell dog that was with the skipper, who kept on wandering around, and knew when we were about to slow down and would come out and look over the side, lol.

Missing you all, hope you're doing well - for all you uniers you'd better be making the most of the last few days of hols :P

I can just imagine you guys hooning round in a speed boat...no doubt my inherited Harris imagination has exaggerated the picture somewhat but never the less I'm sure it was lots of fun!! Nice to hear some news from you :) We miss you!

when do you get home jess? we seriously have to hang out. i completely forgot you were going to NZ until the day after you left, therefore I did not take advantage of the time beforehand... def need to repeat the sparklers at midnight sometime.

Hope you had an amazing time!!! I'm with Phili in that I think my imagination has revvvved the picture in my mind up a few notches... for some reason I picture your Mum and yourself with extravagent scarves 10 feet long trailing in the wind behind you, as you zip from location to location on a dazzling blue sea...

Talk to you soon :-)
